Open meeting for churches, voluntary bodies and local residents

Thursday December 14th @ 8.15 pm in Jordans Village Hall

It is now 18 months since fire partly destroyed Jordans Meeting House.

All that time we have been hard at work. Now plans for the restoration of the 1688 Grade 1 Listed Meeting House have been submitted to Chiltern District Council and discussions with the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) are well advanced.

The members of Jordans Quaker Meeting would like to invite all interested churches, voluntary bodies and local residents to come and hear more about the Meeting House restoration plans and our vision for its future use, at a public meeting on Thursday December 14th in Jordans Village Hall, beginning at 8.15. Everyone is welcome.

We want to share three things with you, and hear your comments and questions on each.

a) The restoration of the building itself and the associated costs;

b) The fundraising appeal that is under way to meet those costs; and

c) Our vision for using the restored building much more fully in partnership with both Jordans Village and the YHA.

If you can let us know beforehand if you intend to come, it would be very helpful, but you will be welcome in any case.

Please contact either Hilary Pinder (01494 675280) or Mary-Anne Hall (01494 873186)

If you can't make it but would like to receive an information sheet about the proposed developments please e-mail: hilary.pinder@virgin.net
