What we believe
Quakers believe that there is that of God in every person. Quakers will use a variety of words to try to describe the word God and they recognise that all individuals are on a continuing spiritual journey.
We have no set dogmas or creeds and have always found it easy to accept other people’s range of approaches to their personal beliefs and experiences. Quakers have no formal priesthood. They listen attentively in the gathered silence of a Meeting for Worship for the word of God. Sometimes someone is moved to speak aloud briefly and this ministry is received in respectful silence.
If this sounds interesting please feel welcome to come to one of our Meetings at 10.30 am every Sunday. There is a large car park at the rear of the Meeting House. We also hold a midweek meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at All Bar One on the concourse of Windsor and Eton Central Station. This meeting starts at 10.30 am and finishes at 11.15 am
There are leaflets and books about the Society as a whole at the Meeting House and there is a Quaker bookshop at Friends House opposite Euston Station in London. For more information please visit the Quakers in Britain website.
